Riverside Latin School
Deo et patriae
Riverside Latin School in Hemet, California seeks to encourage a
boy's love of exploration of his world by giving him the skills of
thinking: reading, writing, listening, speaking, measuring, observing.

  • The study of the inerrant Word of God gives him the
opportunity to know and love his Creator and Savior.
  • Latin and Greek train the mind to think precisely and
    creatively.
  • Mathematics and Science sparks a lifelong curiosity about how
    his world works.
  • Art and Music foster a love of harmony and beauty and provide
    opportunity for creative expression.
  • History and geography reveals the diversity of mankind and his
    actions in the world.

Above all,
the Riverside Latin School student will learn love of God
and his fellow man through reflection and action.

Liam will not be attending Riverside Latin
until he is six but I'm getting things ready. I
do best when I do lots of drafts!

I believe that a slow start is best for boys and
best for Liam. I want him to scrapbook, dig
in the mud, plant his garden, draw, listen to
me read to him, swim, ride, bike, sort, play
trains, make cookies and have fun for as long
as is good for him. I want to work on
character before academics. He is smart
enough to learn anything...I'm not worried
about that. I want to work on how he doesn't
want to share, how he is afraid of new
people and places, his obedience, his
cheerfulness, etc.
